RIP Betty Callow (1929-2022) Life Member of the SFNC and All Round Sweetheart
Betty arrived at Scoresby Football Club with her husband, John, in the early sixties. They came with their close friends - The Taintons.
Betty fitted in straight away making friends with Audrey Gilbert, Noel Williams, Billie Roberts and Merle Llewellyn. Betty joined the Ladies Committee and they set their sights on building a NEW canteen so they could accommodate the players and supporters.
To all that knew Betty, she was 'Aunty Bet', and we all still called her Aunty at this year's SFNC Life Members Luncheon. Betty was one of those great workers where nothing was a fuss!
Later in her years, she saw her family become part of the club too. Her son Allen played and coached the Seniors and then became President of the SFNC. David, her other son also played in the Seniors for many years. - Her daughters, Lynn and Debbie were involved in the social and canteen duties and loved just being around the club!
Betty was one of the 'Grand Ladies' of Scoresby, always smiling and welcoming!
Betty's Funeral will be held on Tuesday the 20th December 2022 at 12:30pm @ Boyd Chapel Springvale.
